Random orbital sander

The backing pad of the "random orbital sander" combines an eccentric oscillation with a rotating circular motion. This random orbital action produces a finish that is finer than can be achieved with an orbital sander.
The random orbital sander is a particularly good choice for intermediate grinding and finishing. Thanks to its singular movement, the sander does not leave behind any deeper swirl marks in the material.

Depending on machine type and grit size random orbit sanders can also achieve exceptional stock removal rates.

Klingspor carries an extensive in-stock range of self-fastening abrasive discs with all standard diameters and hole patterns suitable for random orbit sanders. Complementing these products are backing pads that are available in three hardness grades and suitable for use with the most common random orbit sanders.
